Terms of Service

The service

Coder IDE lets you access a VS Code editor running on your own machine from a browser, via an agent you install and a secure tunnel we operate. We provide the control plane, relay, and web interface; the machine and the code on it remain yours and your responsibility.

Your account

You need an account, identified by your email address, to link devices. You are responsible for the security of your email inbox and the machines you link, and for all activity that happens through devices connected to your account.

Acceptable use

Don't use the service to attack, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to systems, to distribute malware, or to violate the law. Only link machines you own or are authorized to expose. We may suspend accounts that abuse the relay or harm the service for others.

Free trial, subscriptions and payments

New accounts get a 30-day free trial of Pro with no card required. After it ends, opening the editor requires a Pro subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices depend on your country and include applicable taxes. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page, and Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for. Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise; contact us if something went wrong.

Availability

Features may change or be removed, and we do not guarantee uptime of the relay or control plane.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or damage to your machines arising from use of the service. Your code lives on your own hardware — keep backups.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the date at the top of this page, and continued use of the service constitutes acceptance. Questions can be sent to legal@app.autobuildbot.shop.
